Hope Academy for Kids provides students with tools, skills, and year-round support to help them overcome the challenges they face at home, school, and in life.
Our emphasis is always on the students. We surround them with a network of loving, caring mentors who are willing to make investments into their lives and often times, the lives of their families. Family and community are essential to a child’s development; we partner with local organizations and individuals to be a “second family” to our students.

OUR FOCUS AREAS

Academics
Our Academic program is comprised of three areas: Literacy, Homework, and Computer Lab. In each area we partner mentors with students to assist with content that the student(s) struggle with – whether it is sight words, reading comprehension, or fractions.
Emotional Guidance
Our volunteer mentors are our students’ greatest advocates. Mentors are partnered with students, fostering a bond over the duration of the program. Once the students get to know their mentor, they come to them for advice on school and personal matters.

Spiritual & Moral Development
We are a faith based organization and as such we dedicate time toward teaching the students spiritual and moral lessons. Our students enjoy one hour of spiritual enrichment through song, dance, activities, and readings.
Physical Care
Each evening we provide holistic care for our students, this includes providing meals and snacks. Each afternoon when students arrive at our facility they are given a snack, this can range from fresh fruit to peanut butter and crackers. Each evening our nutrition staff fixes balanced meals for all of our students. Additionally, we have a no-cost clothing closet on-site for our students and their families.

Family Support
Raising children takes a village and we could not care for our students without the trust of their families. Therefor, we provide several family opportunities, such as our Adult ESL classes, and our Child of Hope Christmas Party.
