Hope Academy For Kids’ Youth Program serves local middle and high school students, grades 6th through 12th. Our Youth Program’s mission is to prepare our students for life beyond high school; we accomplish this by teaching curriculum that focuses on leadership skills, confidence building, effective communication, and other skills needed throughout their lives. Our volunteer mentors serve as confidants and friends to these students; they encourage them and help them to reach their full potential.

College Tours –

An important part of our Youth Program are the yearly college visits that we take with our students. Each year our high school students visit multiple campuses, learn about various programs offered at each, and talk with admissions counselors. Some examples of colleges visited are: WKU, EKU, Lindsey Wilson College, and the University of Louisville.

Watch the video below to hear what our 2020 Youth Graduates had to say about our program and how it has impacted their lives!

Students of the Month

Each month our mentors identify students that have gone above and beyond during their groups or free time. These high achievers are our students of the month! Students of the month receive a medal and recognition by their peers – and even their community as we submit our students and their photos to The News Enterprise.

Student Council

We believe in encouraging our students to take leadership roles both within and outside of HAFK, which is why we established a Student Council for our Youth Program. Our council is made up of one Representative from each of our age groups, a Secretary, Vice President, and President. Students on the council are expected to communicate ideas and opinions to staff, promote initiatives within HAFK, and give back some of their own time by volunteering with our Elementary Program.

Enrollment

Enrollment into our Youth Program is in high demand and we often have to add students to our wait list. Priority for our Youth Program is given to students that have completed our Elementary Program. If you have any questions about enrollment please contact info@missionhopeforkids.org
