In March of 2020, the Preschool Program at Hope Academy for Kids closed with the rest of our academic programming because of COVID-19. When academic programming began in September of 2020, there was not enough staff or volunteers to begin the Preschool Program at that time.

Now, with the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, this essential program has returned to HAFK.

“High-quality preschool and Head Start programs have shown long-term benefits with higher graduation rates, lower incarceration rates, and higher earnings… While all children benefit from preschool, the most gains are often shown by poor and disadvantaged kids.”

At a time when 94% of parents are concerned about the learning loss their children may have experienced because of COVID-19 and its impact on education, and recent studies show that preschoolers will have lost between 5-9 months of crucial learning time, we are beyond ecstatic to open our doors to our littlest learners once again.
